About

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft tissue is any type of tissue within the body that is not bone. Tissues that overlay the skeleton (muscles, tendons, ligaments) can suffer pain and dysfunction, the causes usually being occupation, leisure/sporting pursuits, postural habits, syndromes, accident/injury and stress/tension. These musculoskeletal issues can be treated with remedial massage and advanced techniques, the combination of which is called 'Soft Tissue Therapy'.

Soft Tissue Therapy includes Scar Therapy, which reduces both the restricting effects of scar tissue and its appearance.

What do the treatments help with?

Soft Tissue Therapy is great for relieving overuse injuries, headaches, back pain, chronic pain, physical and mental stress, and conditions such as FMS & MS.

Scar Therapy reduces the restrictions & appearance of scar tissue.

Deep Tissue and Sports Massage improve athletic sporting performance and protect from injury.

What are the Advanced Techniques?

Soft Tissue Release, Positional Release, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Technique and Muscle Energy Technique are all used to achieve greater mobility and flexibility; however, which techniques need to be used very much depend on the type of issue that presents, and not all techniques are suitable for everyone.
